Fighting Glioblastoma & Chronic Lyme Disease
”Now is the time to reveal the force of one’s strength, the stoutness of one’s heart and the might of one’s soul …To try, to persevere, is to insure ultimate and complete victory.” ~Shoghi Effendi
As you may recall from a previous post, Dayna, one of my youngest patients diagnosed with glioblastoma 3 years ago was told that she would only live a maximum 6-12 months because of the inoperable aggressive and large brain tumor. She’d had the tumor for at least 3-1/2 years. She also had an 18-month-old daughter at the time of diagnosis who needed her mother. Dayna was willing to do anything for her little girl.
Chapter 1: Comprehensive Evaluation & A Natural Cancer Treatment Plan
By way of a referral from a friend and her mother, Dayna came to see us for a consult and to evaluate her alternative and supportive cancer options. During our comprehensive evaluation process, we diagnosed her with chronic Lyme disease with multiple infections, as well as metal and emotional toxicities. She began a treatment plan consisting of lifestyle and dietary modifications, bio-oxidative therapies, IV nutrition therapies, herbal anti-microbial therapy, biofeedback therapy, and other modalities, to address the chronic infection.
Chapter 2: Stress, Changes & Challenges
Her tumor began to shrink and was almost gone. She continued to be on Temodar. Approximately 18 months after her treatment began with us, she discontinued her integrative cancer supportive care and anti-microbial therapy due to financial hardship. Despite the financial support she received from her friends and Holistique, she could not continue supporting herself and her little daughter in combination with her treatments. She remarried, moved away, and was doing well until gradually, she fell back into old habits; and the Standard American Diet. Despite the environmental and dietary toxin exposure without any holistic medical care, for almost 8 months, her tumor continued to be stable and minimal in size. She then began facing an increase in stressors and fell further into a toxic lifestyle. Her psychiatrist placed her on anti-depressants and other medications which gradually caused a further decline in her behavior, immune function, cognitive function and attitude.
Chapter 3: Lyme Returns & Treatment Resumes
Recently, she started her integrative and naturopathic treatments again with us at Holistique. Again, I diagnosed her with a flare up of chronic Lyme disease along with an increase in physical, mental, emotional, chemical and metal toxic load, and detoxification dysfunctions. She again started her bio-oxidative treatments, and currently, is working on shifting her diet and lifestyle habits. We again have her on a treatment plan to support her in fighting the infections, optimizing her immune system, detoxifying her physically, emotionally, and mentally. She is back on her bio-oxidative therapies and IV nutrition therapies along with anti-microbial therapy. Her tumor is again stabilized. It has now been 3 years since her initial diagnosis and she continues to be inspirational to those around her. Dayna lives with her husband, step-son, and (now) 5-year-old daughter.
The featured picture above shows Dayna breathing in bio-signals from a new technology called NanoVi. Preliminary research performed at University of Washington shows that NanoVi creates bio-signals from distilled water which activate cellular repair and regeneration, as well as acting like an anti-oxidant, cleaning up the free radicals in her body and brain, to improve brain function and brain healing. Dayna has electrodes attached to her scalp, using a device that changes the electric field of the brain slowing tumor cell replication. She continues to inspire others and always has a smile on her beautiful face.
